Permanent housing
The Mission has a community housing provider, Auckland City Mission Housing Ltd (ACMHL). Through ACMHL we provide safe, warm, and permanent homes for people across Tāmaki Makaurau who need social housing. Beyond providing homes, our kaupapa is about creating places where people feel they belong, supported, can build stability, and can thrive within their communities.
Our dedicated tenancy team walks alongside whānau to help them find and settle into their homes, offering practical and genuine care along the way. We work closely with the Mission’s Housing Support Team, providing ongoing connections, guidance and manaakitanga to ensure residents are supported to live well and flourish.

Questions?
We know asking for help can feel hard, and you might have some questions before getting in touch. Below are some common things people ask us about food support, we hope this helps you feel more prepared and confident. If you're still unsure, give us a call. We're here to help.
You can apply. Please see details above.
You can refer yourself or someone else (with their consent) for support from our Street to Home team. We discuss these referrals weekly, and will respond to your email within 7 days of receiving it.
We have transitional (short term) housing sites (12 week stay), and we are a community housing provided meaning we have permanent housing sites across Auckland.
This varies depending on the site. At HomeGround there is an even mix of Housing First tenants, that is, those who have lived on the street previously and have other physical and mental health needs, and people who are on the social housing register and do not need extra support.
Our team will support you throughout your 12-week stay as best we can, linking you with other services or into our community housing team, ACMHL (Auckland City Mission Housing Ltd).
We have a non-medical detox facility at our HomeGround building in the CBD. For more information, please go here.
