Food Parcels: Ingredients to cook at home
If you need groceries for yourself or your whānau, we may be able to help. Food parcels are free and include ingredients to cook simple meals at home. We work with trusted partners across Tāmaki Makaurau to make sure more people can access support close to where they live.
Every parcel includes basic groceries to help you prepare meals at home. Contents may vary, but usually include:
- Canned goods
- Fresh or frozen vegetables
- Rice or pasta
- Breakfast items
- Hygiene essentials (where possible)
See below for information on how to access a food parcel.

Alongside our food parcels and community dining, we’re finding new ways to make healthy kai more accessible.

Support is based on need. When you call us, we’ll talk through your situation and let you know what’s possible.
We are doing our Christmas food parcel service this year, however, every year there is more demand for food parcels than we can meet so this year we will be contacting whānau who have recently needed our support instead of taking any phone or social media bookings. These calls will happen between 27th Nov - 8th Dec.
Our community dining room, Haeata is open 7 days a week from 8am - 11am. You are welcome to come and get a warm meal from us there and connect with our staff who can support you further.
