Winter recipe – Cottage Pie

Ingredients: 40g Seasoning or stock cube 400g Beef Mince 600g Potatoes, washed and peeled 125ml Milk 200g Onions, peeled and diced 400g Can chopped tomatoes Optional: 200g Carrots, peeled and finely chopped Optional: 60g Grated cheese Method: 1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees or 180 degrees fan forced. 2. Boil and mash potatoes. Add milk to mash, stir through. Set aside. 3. Heat 2tsp oil in a pan, brown mince. Add onion and carrots, cook for 2 minutes, stirring. 4. add combined tomatoes and seasoning, bring to the boil stirring. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. 5. Transfer mince mixture to ovenproof dish and spread mashed potatoes evenly over top. Sprinkle with cheese if using. 6. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!
